You do not stand your ground and avoid confrontation

A lack of assertiveness can cause you to ignore your needs and boundaries. You may often adapt or avoid confrontation to keep the peace. This can cause frustration to build up, or you may not always feel seen or heard. Insecurity or the fear of disappointing others may play a part. In the long run, it can become difficult to stay true to what matters to you.

Build assertiveness through exercises and set boundaries

You can develop assertiveness by practising expressing your wishes and recognising your boundaries. Learn to communicate clearly and respectfully, without losing sight of yourself. Coaching can help with this. You will gradually build more self-confidence and find a better balance in your interactions with others.
